Every puzzle on this site is timed, and your result is simply how long it takes to find every word. This page opens Normal mode – a 10×10 grid with ten words – which is the best size for racing yourself.
Hints are available, but each one adds 15 seconds to your time, so using them is a trade-off. Your best time is saved in your browser so you can try to beat it tomorrow.
How to get faster
- Read the whole word list once before you start searching.
- Look for the rarest letters first – J, K, Q, V, X and Z.
- Scan in one direction at a time: rows, then columns, then diagonals.
- Don't chase one difficult word – move on and come back.
- Use hints only when a word would cost you more than 15 seconds.
What is a good time?
On a 10×10 grid with ten words, under five minutes is a solid time and under three minutes is very fast. On Hard mode, expect longer – words can run backwards and the grid is 12×12.
